May 2020- Staying the course

Editor's note

'Staying the course'

What a year 2020 has turned out to be! At the start of this year, nothing could have prepared any of us for what we would face, just months in! But God is faithful and has proved time and time again that we are not alone; He is with us through it all.

In this May edition of Reach and Inspire Magazine, we are looking at ‘Staying the course’. How do you stay the course- be it in your marriage, work, or ministry, when life throws you a curve ball? The Coronavirus situation is one curve ball none of us saw coming but by God’s grace we have lined up some inspiring articles to help you get through this season.

For our Workplace inspiration, Winifred Dike shares how she learnt to maintain a positive outlook at work even in tough times. For our blog and continuing the Single girls guide series, Chika Anajemba shares her thoughts on ‘Remaining faithful in the waiting’.

For our Love and Relationships section we look at some tips on ‘Staying the course after the honeymoon period has worn off’. Our Bible character study looks at the life of Jacob. And last but by no means least (and I’m really excited about this one!) we have our Person of Influence, the amazing Adebola Aroboto, a midwife with the NHS. Given the current situation we're facing, I couldn't think of anyone more deserving to be featured. I absolutely loved the interview I did with her, and I’m sure you will too!

In our February issue, we introduced the Reach and Inspire Women’s network, an exclusive network of women passionate about Jesus and using their gifts and talents to change their world. If you would like to be part of this network, please follow the instructions on the page on how to sign up. You will receive a monthly newsletter, with further information about the network communicated via email.

Finally, if you follow us on social media, you may have seen that we recently started ‘The Reach and Inspire podcast’, which you can listen to here on the magazine page or on major podcast listening platforms (e.g. Spotify, iTunes, Google podcasts). Don’t forget to subscribe and share the podcast with your friends and family. I hope that you find it encouraging and inspiring.

As we continue to watch the rest of 2020 unfold, I encourage you to stay close to God and seek Him concerning His plans for your life this year. Let Him lead and guide you in all that you do, and rest assured that He has everything under control. May we continue to stay the course, and ‘hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful’ (Hebrews 10:23).

Blessings always,

Urenna
